The order for subpages works differently than for pages on the main screen. The order of subpages on a page is alphabetical by default, but there is a handy trick to change this.
1. Click on “Pages” on the left-hand side.
2. Click on the three dots next to the subpage, then click on edit.
We are going to change the alphabetical order.
3. Add spaces before the title. The more spaces, the earlier it will appear in the alphabet. An example is described below.
4. After adding enough spaces, press the purple save button. The spaces will not be visible to guests.
The “Alphabet” page has 3 subpages: “A,” “B,” and “C.” Without adjustments, these will be listed in the following order: A, B, C.
Suppose you want the order to be “C”, “B”, “A”. In that case, you will need to edit the pages one by one. The title of C must become ‘C’ (2 spaces before the C), the title of B must become “B” (1 space), and the title of A can remain unchanged (i.e., with 0 spaces before the A). Because C has the most spaces (2), it will be read alphabetically first by the CMS. Then B will follow (with 1 space) and then A will follow (without spaces).
